Job Purpose
This position reports directly to the SIOP Leader, MP Americas. The Business Data Analyst I, will be responsible for gathering and validating historical sales data, building management reporting based on customers, products and lines of business. They will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the demand forecasting process within the MP segment, along with supporting the administration of specific forecasting models or tools utilized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Extract and Utilize data to make actionable recommendations to Global SIOP Leader.
- Assist in analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to generate realistic demand forecasts for the Motive Power business unit.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and team members to monitor KPIs, create reports to show progress, where improvements are needed.
- Be able to use large datasets to build models and utilize the tools in place to create statistical baseline forecasts.
- Provide key inputs into the forecast process, while gathering data and communicate all restraints to management.
- Continuously assist in improving the SIOP forecasting process, while helping to implement best practices and collaborating cross-functionally with operations.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Equivalent work experience (3+ years in data analysis, forecasting, or supply chain) may be considered in place of a degree.
- Experience with SAP, OneStream, Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BI is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in data analytics, forecasting, or supply chain (such as APICS CPIM) are a plus.
