Job Overview

Perform business analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining to create high quality reports to be used for operational and executive level decision making.

Essential Functions

  • Work directly with clients to identify business requirements.
  • Maintain existing Access databases, which include Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code.
  • Develop and maintain data models, automation systems, dashboards, reports and metrics that support key business decisions, including the use of data visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with data architect or application specialists to identify the data sources required to support an analytical project or development of a complex report.
  • Evaluate various data sets, identify new types of data and data sources to determine patterns; synthesize data into meaningful metrics and numbers; monitor data quality, identify inconsistencies, and develop recommendations to optimize business processes and performance.
  • Utilize ETL tools to automate standard reporting.
  • May create and maintain dashboards in Tableau to solve business problems.
  • Design and implement technical processes to address business opportunities with the intent of streamlining the use of large datasets to create efficiencies and clarity of data.
  • Verify results using a variety of statistical techniques.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience in reporting, ETL processing and/or background in complex data analysis techniques.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience compiling data and developing Tableau workbooks.
  • Access, Excel, SQL, VBA, and Microsoft Server Management Studio.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
