Position Summary

The Manager, Data Analytics is an exciting, influential role which will be key in building, molding and solidifying Triumph's commitment to data excellence. The right candidate will collaborate with the existing Data & Analytics leadership to help mentor and coach team members, improve team processes, and define and implement best practices. You will work closely with other teams within technology and business to ensure that we have a best-in-class foundation for a data driven future.

The Manager, Data Analytics should be a hands-on expert who can lead a team of BI developers and analysts to build dashboards, visualizations and advanced analytics. This role requires strong interpersonal skills due to close interactions with business and technology stakeholders at all levels with varying technical backgrounds in a fast-paced work environment. Additionally, this role requires a highly creative leader capable of envisioning novel approaches to complex problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse team of BI developers and analysts to build, deploy and maintain reports, dashboards and visualizations across assigned segments in the enterprise.

  • Work with stakeholders and management to prioritize opportunities based on business impact and maintain existing features to ensure high quality and data integrity.

  • Develop and deploy a self-service model for consuming analytics.

  • Collaborate and work closely with the data architecture and engineering teams.

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate to technical specifications.

  • Build expertise in leading edge capabilities and lead the organization towards advanced analytics and data science capabilities, including predictive modeling and machine learning.

  • Foster a centralized, scalable approach to BI/Analytics and build enterprise CoE.

  • Manage, train, mentor, set expectations, and provide oversight to direct reports. Nurture an environment where the team can excel through encouragement and empowerment.

  • Troubleshoot and help support analytics services and products.

  • Implement and maintain security and governance best practices.

Experience & Education

The successful candidate will possess leadership and management expertise, analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and thrive in a high-volume, high-velocity environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 2-3 years experience in a leadership role managing BI/Analytics developers.

  • 7-8 years experience working in the BI/Analytics space developing reports and dashboards.

  • Expertise using BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, etc.

  • Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and build relationships.

  • Experience working in a data warehouse environment, semantic layers and dimensional models.

  • Exposure to cloud data stacks like Snowflake, Athena, etc.

  • Extensive experience with SQL and relational databases.

  • Familiarity with advanced analytics and data science concepts and tools.

  • Experience working within Agile software development methodology.

  • Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation is required.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work individually or in a team.

  • Ability to leverage tools to perform day-to-day administration tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration (such as backup, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring).

  • Ability to multitask and manages work effectively by prioritizing own assignments, schedules, and meetings resulting in timely completion of work.

  • High degree of personal integrity.

  • The applicant should be eager to learn and obtain technical certification.

  • Must be able to receive and follow instructions given by management.

  • Must have the ability develop solutions to unique problems.
