We are seeking a People Analytics Analyst to join our team, located in Arlington VA. This position reports to the Senior Manager, People Insights and supports the Nestle USA People Insights strategy, insights delivery, and is entrusted with access to confidential personnel data. 

 

The People Analytics Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting employee data from various HR systems to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic workforce decisions, ultimately aiming to improve employee engagement, performance, and retention by providing data-driven recommendations to HR leadership.  

 

The mission of the People Insights team is to provide data-driven insights and strategic direction regarding our people and culture that are compelling and actionable to business leaders. More specifically the team is responsible for advanced analytics, employee listening, strategic workforce planning, internal and external benchmarking, and data storytelling to fuel HR and business strategy. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Reporting and Insights: Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to present data-driven insights to HR leadership, including key metrics like employee turnover, engagement levels, performance trends, and workforce demographics.  

  • Data Analysis: Perform statistical analysis on employee data using tools like regression analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization to identify trends and patterns.  

  • Data Storytelling: Effectively communicate insights and findings from data through compelling visualizations, narratives, and presentations.  

  • Business Impact Analysis: Translate data insights into actionable recommendations to address business challenges related to talent acquisition, development, retention, and workforce planning.  

  • Survey Administration: Support Employee Listening program through administering, developing, coding, and deploying surveys through Qualtrics.  

  • Consultative Support: Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand business needs, identify relevant data points, and interpret analysis results to inform decision making.  

  • Project Management: Lead data analysis projects, defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables.  

  • Data Fluency and Training: Support data fluency efforts within the HR function through training and support 

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics (or related field) or equivalent experience required; equivalent experience defined as at least 4 years of relevant, professional-level working experience in the same or similar field 

  • Ability to handle highly confidential HR information in professional manner 

 

EXPERIENCE: 

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a corporate or HR environment. 

  • Prior knowledge of handling HR data is strongly preferred. 

  • Experience in Power BI or Tableau is preferred.  

  • Experience in R, Python, or other statistical software is a plus.    

  • Experience in Qualtrics or other survey software is a plus.  

  • Experience working within a large, highly matrixed organization is a plus 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word). 

 

SKILLS: 

 

  • Data Analysis Skills: Proficient in statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualization techniques that uncovers key insights to drive HR strategy 

  • HR Knowledge: Deep understanding of HR processes, metrics, and employee lifecycle stages 

  • Technical Skills: Expertise in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau), HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos), and statistical languages (e.g. R, Python) 

  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences  

  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business goals and the ability to align people analytics with strategic objectives  

  • Project Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects
