Be part of the systems team that manages and operates world’s largest public Wi-Fi network. The work involves analysis and performance improvement of our Xfinity Wi-Fi networks @hyperscale, using state of the art optimization techniques, machine learning, specification and use of wireless measurements, and analysis of network performance, building business insights that could help create future deployment strategy. The solutions are all implemented in the cloud, using an agile development process.Job Description
This role is based with the team in our cutting-edge Comcast Technology Center in downtown Philadelphia. It is not open for remote or virtual employment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for extracting knowledge and insights from high volume, high dimensional data.
- Investigate complex business problems through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques.
- Utilize advanced statistical analysis, algorithms, predictive modeling, experimentation and pattern recognition to create solutions that enable enhanced business performance.
- Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for customer experience improvement.
- Leads development and execution of statistical and mathematical solutions to business problems to support larger initiatives.
- Works with large, noisy, and complex datasets to produce analysis of historical patterns in customer behaviors and product performance from complex real-world behavioral data.
- Researches and applies knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions.
- Builds customer centric models and optimization tools to support large scale projects that utilize online and offline data, structured and unstructured data.
- Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.
Experience Must:
- 5+ years of experience in Python
- 5+ Experience in Database technologies, SQL, MySQL, Elastic search, Big Query, ETLs and framework development.
- 5+ Experience with data analysis, data wrangling and visualization
- 3+ year of experience with Machine Learning algorithms, statistical analysis, model building, and evaluation
- Experience processing large data sets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Strong experience with Amazon RDS, Amazon Redshift, GCP
- Experience with data quality and validation
Experience Desired:
- Experience with deep learning and understanding of neural networks
- Experience with Data Clustering/ Anomaly detection
- Experience with real time data processing
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics
