What you'll be doing
The Senior Manager, Lending Analytics will play a pivotal role in the Analytics & Decision Science team supporting Personal and Business Banking, specifically on Residential Mortgages, Unsecured Lending as well as Auto Lending products. The Analytics & Decision Science team is dedicated to developing next-generation analytics assets to facilitate data-driven decision making for partners in Product, Marketing, Client Segment and Strategy. In this position, you will lead analytics initiatives, leveraging your strong business acumen and modern analytical tools to optimize portfolio performance, gain deeper insights into client behaviors, and drive business growth across products, campaigns and various business areas. You will collaborate closely with business partners, present insights and proposals, and proactively offer data-driven recommendations to senior leaders to help identify opportunities to grow the business and better serve our clients.

How you'll succeed
Consultant – be a leader in analytics consulting – Integrate deep domain knowledge with analytical capabilities to deliver value to stakeholders, enable data-driven decision making and proactively identify opportunities to drive business growth (projects/business cases, acquisition/retention strategies, pricing, channels, segments, products and process enhancements)
Analytics – Independently identify and leverage the right statistical techniques (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive) to extract actionable insights out of client behaviours and business trends (both internal and external). Appropriately integrate of data science, business intelligence, visualization, self-service and analytical tools into engagements. Proactively explore new applications of advanced analytics to innovate and build strategic analytics assets.
Technology – Leverage data science/analytical tools to analyze large structured and unstructured datasets, build data pipeline and visualization from multiple data sources.
Ownership – Orchestrate end-to-end delivery of solutions that meet stakeholder requirements and contribute to business success – you will think and act like an owner and being accountable in analytics initiatives ensuring the proper identification and translation of business needs into analytics requirements.
Communication – Find the story in data and be flexible in communicating at varying levels of details for the right audience.
Who you are
You have a degree in a quantitative field (i.e. mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, engineering, physics, business) or equivalent experience. Advanced degree is an asset (i.e. MMA, MBAN, MSc, MA, MBA).
You are a problem solver. You have exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills with demonstrated ability to independently identify and analyze business problems and recommend solutions.
You are proficient in programming languages and have experience using modern big data, analytical and dashboard tools (i.e. Databricks, Python, SQL, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx).
You have experience in building end-to-end analytics solutions involving large datasets (i.e. requirement gathering, data extraction, cleaning and transformation, statistical analysis, presentation & implementation).
You have working knowledge of statistical techniques (i.e. regression, time-series analysis, clustering, decision trees).
You are an avid learner who recognizes the analytics field is constantly evolving. You seek to explore emerging trends and best practices in the industry and are excited to share the knowledge with others.
You can be clearly understood. You have very strong communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely present information to groups and individuals at all levels in the organization.
