Trusted and high-quality data is a necessity for maintaining customer satisfaction, enabling digitalization, automation and regulatory compliance. Thus, we are looking for a Baltic data governance manager with a broad understanding of data management and governance framework, experience and seniority together with team, stakeholder and project management skills, as well strong business acumen.
You will be a member of Customer Data and Strategic Transformations team in SEB Baltic. The position could be based in one of three Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania).

Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not exclusive to:

  • Governance and Documentation – develop and enforce data governance policies and instructions to ensure data quality and security. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards. Oversee data compliance audits and support regulatory reporting requirements
  • Data Management – design and implement data validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems. Ensure continuous support to the organization with common standards for organization, roles, capabilities, processes, competences and tools. Support organization to secure data lifecycle management, data quality and security management. Implement and scale data management platform
  • Leadership - work with leadership teams to align data initiatives with organizational goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).Lead a team of data professionals, providing guidance, training, and support. Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to ensure proper data usage and reporting
  • Strategy – contribute to Baltic Data Strategy and support its implementation. Initiate and/or drive initiatives leading to Technology Architecture improvements in the field of Data Management

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

  • Passion about Data management
  • Educational degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experience in managing data governance frameworks and data quality initiatives. Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra)
  • In-depth understanding of data protection regulations and industry standards
  • Ability to develop and implement long-term data strategies aligned with business objectives
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing data quality and governance processes
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
