A bit about the role
Join our team and play a key role in managing and enhancing Council’s asset data systems. If you have strong analytical skills, experience in asset data management, and a passion for system optimisation, we’d love to hear from you!
What you’ll deliver
- Manage, coordinate and maintain Council’s asset data gathering, entry, evaluation and reporting, including asset registers.
- Capitalise land and infrastructure assets.
- Support administration, maintenance and improvement of Council’s Asset Information Management System (AIMS) and corporate Geographical Information System (GIS).
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification or substantial experience in a related discipline, i.e., asset management, asset accounting, information systems management, data management or engineering, is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in managing asset data and information in a large organisation.
- Proven competency in using AIMS and GIS. Experience in TechOne and QGIS is desirable.
- Understanding of administration and management of AIMS.
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) standards relevant to asset accounting.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check.
