TEAMArene’s mission is to simplify vehicle software development and increase developer agility by crafting tools and processes which enable novel uses of vehicles without compromising safety. 
Product Architecture team’s mission is to lead global technical activities such as high level requirements, architecture and validation, through harmonized processes and tools. To deliver “Arene” with the desired Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) to Toyota, it is crucial to align our development plans, processes and products with Toyota’s products life cycle. We are developing tool as product team to conceptualize and derive requirements throughout this activity.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for Tool Development Engineers who are excited about helping build the best in class “software first” automotive platform. We envision the Arene platform will change the way vehicles are made. Ideally you would be familiar with the challenges associated with the automotive software lifecycle and are motivated to solve them. 
RESPONSIBILITIESYou will work with a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary team on the Arene implementation that will enable rapid development and update of vehicle software.・Develop tools using generative AI technologies・Work with stakeholders to understand customer needs and problems・Derive high level requirement for tools and define operation plan including migrations・Quality as proof of concept level so that we can test not only internal stakeholders but also external stakeholders・Provide user documentation and support and maintenance of tools

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Knowledge of Requirements Management best practices and of at least one requirement management tool, e.g. DOORS, JAMA
• Programming languages: C, C++, Python (especially Python)
• Program experience using generative AI API e.g. Open AI
• Business level English proficiency
• Japanese language proficiency (N1)

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience as a Requirements Engineer in the Automotive industry or other safety critical industries
• Exposure to Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) 
• Familiarity with the ISO 26262, SOTIF, or other standards for functional safety
