Employment type – Temporary Full-Time role up to September 2028

Salary – Clerk Grade 11/12 $145,378 - $168,130pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading

 

Your role

We are now looking for an experienced IT Manager & Data Analysis expert to lead and manage our IT systems, contractor performance, and data analysis functions.

 

The IT Manager leads and manages the day-to-day support of Homes NSW IT systems, ensuring the smooth operation of housing portfolio assets within a shared IT infrastructure environment. This position also plays a key role in delivering contractor performance reporting through effective data analysis and verification activities. The IT Manager ensures the alignment of resources to maximize efficiencies and supports critical project outcomes.

 

What you’ll do

 

You’ll oversee the daily business support of Portfolio Management Assets IT systems, ensuring service providers meet their service obligations and performance targets. You will lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of IT projects, identifying interdependencies and leveraging resources to achieve organisational outcomes.

 

You will oversee the management of the IT portfolio, including software licensing, hardware, and service contracts, ensuring the annual IT contract schedule is up to date and you will lead and manage teams, including internal and external project staff, ensuring project milestones and outcomes are met.

 

You'll provide expert advice to stakeholders on emerging issues, offering recommendations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with policy objectives as well as build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, managing communication, negotiation, and issue resolution for both IT support and project delivery.

 

You will also be responsible to verify the implementation of the Performance Management Framework by contractors, working closely with Contract Managers to address performance gaps and report on performance trends to improve senior management’s understanding and decision-making capacity, recommending improvements to contractor processes.

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Proven experience in managing IT systems in an environment where IT infrastructure is shared with other entities.
  • Strong IT project management skills (business and technical), with a demonstrated ability to manage resources and timelines effectively.
  • Extensive vendor management experience, with a track record of successful contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, particularly in contractor performance management.
