Position Overview: As a Security Data Mesh Architect specializing in solving complex data challenges across multiple hyper-scaler clouds, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing a microservices approach to security data generation, collecting, transformation, storage and analytics within cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our growing data challenges including observability, providing expert guidance, and developing innovative solutions to enhance the value of large data sets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect security data and observability solutions specifically tailored for hyper-scaler cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) while ensuring cross platform integration with on premise workloads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and integrate data schemas and frameworks into existing architectures.
- Develop and implement strategies for telemetry collection, normalization, correlation, and analysis utilizing cloud-native tools and services.
- Lead efforts in configuring and maintaining data platforms to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security compliance.
- Provide expert guidance on best practices for service reliability and management.
- Provide expert guidance on Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and LLMs.
- Conduct regular security assessments and fine-tune SIEM or analytics rules, alerts, and dashboards to address evolving business use cases.
- Ensure seamless integration of data aggregation, observability and cloud native solutions with identity, networking, and compliance technologies.
- Mentor and train team members on data formats, storage and retrieval best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest data trends and technologies, conducting research to implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a data Architect or similar role, with a focus on cloud platforms.
- Deep understanding of hyper-scaler cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) and their security services.
- Strong proficiency in data analytic tools such as Splunk, Google SecOps, Google Chronicle, Datadog, Sumologic, Databricks, New Relic, AppDynamics, AWS CloudWatch or Azure Sentinel.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Security Engineer are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to manage work load in Agile methodology
- Experience with scripting and automation using languages such as SPL, Python, PowerShell, or Bash is a plus.

The targeted combined range for this position is 140400 - 238600(CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
