Position Summary:In this role, you will drive the long-range vision, planning, and day-to-day execution of SPS Commerce’s data products.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, as the head of data products you’ll assume one of the most strategic roles in the business as you take command of a powerful analytics platform used by global brands to analyze demand and performance of their products through retail channels.

With access to SKU-level sell-through data throughout SPS’s global retail network, you’ll be in building predictive, AI-driven insights and recommendations for brands to plan and execute their production and distribution. You’ll expand both the data scope and analytics capabilities of the platform as you anticipate the future needs of trading partners. With SPS’s rapidly growing, networked SaaS platform, you’ll have the opportunity to grow SPS’s data products rapidly via network effects while also relying on the predictability of the SaaS business model.

 Further, asa key thought leader in data, you’ll drive the data roadmap for SPS Commerce’s proprietary network itself that sees a significant volume of global trading activity.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive a compelling vision for SPS data products while leading the product management, product design, and product owner functions on your team
  • Lead in a GM-style fashion to drive the success of SPS’s data products working collaboratively with dedicated sales, marketing, and services teams for SPS’s data products
  • Build and maintain a high-performing culture of innovation within the data products team
  • Partner closely with engineering to ensure smooth planning, refinement, and execution of the product roadmap using agile principles
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to make world-class product launches a reality
  • Drive strategic data thinking and execution into the SPS platform and network
  • Establish relationships with global brands, driving insights back into SPS’s product and engineering teams
  • Establish key industry partnerships to advance product capabilities and accelerate penetration of SPS data products in the market including with Snowflake, Databricks, and others
  • Act as a thought leader within SPS and externally on the use of data and AI within commerce
  • Act as a senior member of the product leadership team, participating in wide range of strategic topics across the business including key technology and market discussions, company-wide strategic initiatives, annual business planning, M&A, and more

 

Location: US – Remote

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  •  7+ years in progressive product management roles with a minimum of 2 years in a senior product leadership role
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and scaling successful data products in the market
  • An innate, insatiable interest in data, AI, and ML
  • Brilliant strategist mixed with sound operational execution
  • Significant experience in B2B SaaS business models and supporting fast-paced go-to-market teams
  • Product-level familiarity with data and AI platforms and frameworks akin to Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Tensorflow, and others
  • Strong product-level understanding of data engineering, harmonization, enrichment, visualization, model building, and ML ops disciplines within engineering
  • Strong desire to collaborate across GTM functions to ensure product success in the market
  • Excellent communicator, both written and spoken
  • Ability to travel on occasion to SPS offices, industry events, and customer locations
  • Experience in retail technologies, supply chain, e-commerce, or related segments preferred but not required

 

 

What We Offer:   

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.  

The annual salary range for this role is: $200,400- $240,00 Base + bonus & equity. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.   

Additionally, you may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. An incentive award, if granted, is based on individual and/or organizational performance.
