Science and Technology (S&T) Protection Specialist

Job Summary:

Red Canyon DDC is seeking a Science and Technology (S&T) Protection Specialist. The selected candidate will be supporting  tasks required to support the Program Management Office (PMO) in expanding participation in acquisitions and transitioning technologies to both the warfighter and commercial sector. The contract work provides oversight for Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) projects, supporting current and future technology transition initiatives. Deliverables include program and technical services to assist the PMO in planning, execution, management, and reporting to senior leadership, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Congress.

*This position is contingent upon contract award. Selected candidate must be within a commutable distance of Washington, DC.* 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with S&T Protection Plan efforts to include identifying and validating security requirements, providing guidance to ensure the protection of technologies and related information of various classification levels.
• Develop or evaluate program, project, or technology area security risk assessments and analyses, and provide mitigation plans.
• Provide security oversight for all aspects of technology control and S&T protection planning as well as development of certification and accreditation documents.
• Provide support as a technical security advisor to internal and external entities on matters affecting overall protection architecture.
• Other duties as asssigned. 

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Proven experience in data analysis, database management, and data visualization.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of the defense industry and the AFWERX program is a plus.
