The Lincoln International European Financial Sponsors Group is looking to hire an off-cycle intern into the team in London for six to nine months to work with the team on growing our sponsor coverage platform.

The European Financial Sponsors Group is the focus point for Lincon’s interaction with the financial sponsor community. We help financial sponsors find deals that fit their investment strategy and realise value from their portfolios. Our team has an exceptionally strong reputation within the private capital markets and holds relationships with 400+ European financial sponsors. The Financial Sponsors Group supports all of Lincoln International’s industry groups and product teams, all of which operate on a cross-border basis.

Please note that this is NOT an M&A internship and that the focus will lie on administrative tasks related to business development. 

We are looking for an off-cycle intern to support with:

  • Keeping up to date with industry groups to track live deal opportunities, new business pitches and sell-side targeting initiatives
  • Attending coverage meetings with financial sponsor clients of the firm
  • Drafting and preparation of marketing materials for financial sponsor meetings
  • Responsibility for the management of key client information with our CRM system
  • Supporting on internal team projects: financial sponsor portfolio reviews, AI initiatives, sub-sector market mapping, assets in market tracking and other ad hoc tasks
  • Working collaboratively with international colleagues from the wider European Financial Sponsors Group on cross-border initiatives

 

Requirements:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and manager relationships
  • Excellent commercial acumen and business awareness
  • A motivated hard-working, pro-active attitude with a commitment to exceptional performance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great communication skills
  • Top tier academic results
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of effective GPT prompting
  • A genuine and demonstrable interest in the private equity industry
  • The right to work in the UK
