Job Description
As a Power BI Developer (Expert), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and UX/UI designers, to transform complex data sets into actionable insights. Your expertise in Power BI will be critical in ensuring that the digital analytics application is both robust and user-friendly, meeting the needs of our global audience.
Principal Accountabilities
Design and develop advanced data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI.
Implement data models and DAX queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis.
Utilize advanced Power BI features, including DAX, calculated columns, and measures, to create sophisticated visualizations.
Collaborate with data engineers to integrate various data sources into Power BI including Snowflake and APIs
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within the Power BI environment.
Optimize report performance and scalability to handle large datasets efficiently
Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the utility of Power BI reports and dashboards.
Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry best practices to continuously improve the application.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Power BI Developer, with a proven track record of designing and deploying complex Power BI solutions.
Experience in embedding Power BI dashboards in applications efficiently
Expertise in data modelling, DAX, and Power Query in building complex custom visuals like MACCs
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Proficient in SQL and experience with various databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake).
Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and dashboards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Knowledge of Python or R programming languages is a plus.
