We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic analytics team in the UK to be part of the operational excellence office. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights for the UK business using Power BI, Snowflake, Excel and Dataiku. You will support data-driven decision-making across the organization by developing reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions that enhance business performance and efficiency. You will delivery dashboard and insights to the UK business but dotted line report to the Canadia analytics team so an element of flex on time is required. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Working with the UK Operational Excellence director you will create a BI plan for the UK, you will liaise with the various business leaders to ensure the dashboard reflect the operational requirement of the business. 
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct data analysis and visualization to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
  • Utilize Snowflake and other data sources e.g Excel as a source of analytic data and inputs into Power BI or other visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into data models and BI solutions.
  • Communicate data stories/narratives to the UK executive team and business leadership that lead to actionable insights and a clear understanding on business performance.
  • Work with partners in Data Management to design and implement robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Work with teammates in AI / Data Science to leverage Dataiku to support AI-driven analytics initiatives.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance with industry and regional standards.
  • Showcase your aptitude for continuous learning by staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in data analytics and technology.
  • Harness your passion for problem-solving by identifying opportunities for improvement and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Provide training and support to business users on Power BI best practices and data literacy.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics, etc.).
  • Microsoft certified data analyst associate
  • Over five years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics or a related role.
  • Proven track record of delivering actionable insights and solutions from complex data and analytic models.
  • A natural curiosity and enthusiasm for tackling challenging problems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical business leaders and/or executives.
  • Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard development.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, particularly from Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Dataiku, Python programming or similar AI/ML platforms is an asset.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL, and data pipeline development.
  • Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management.
