As a Sr. Risk Data Analyst, your primary role will be to perform empirically driven analysis to understand business performance and identify improvement opportunities. This will also include building and optimizing foundational data marts, which will support reporting and analysis across different areas in the organization. You will also develop your engineering skills, building data pipeline architecture, data flows, data transformations and clear documentation. You’ll join our Risk Data team and partner with data owners and users to build, problem-solve and optimize key data structures.
This position is located at our Beaverton, OR office, with a hybrid schedule. We are onsite Monday through Wednesday.

Responsibilities
As our Sr. Risk Data Analyst you will:
- Analyze business performance, identify improvement opportunities, deliver recommendations, and manage implementation.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities leveraging strong quantitative, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Create and manage large, complex data sets that meet business requirements and serve as the foundation behind analytics and management reporting, informing critical decision making across the organization.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, including optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data, leveraging databricks notebooks, Apache Spark (SQL, Python, Scala) and other Microsoft Azure or open-source tools as required.
- Effectively communicate analytical approach, relevant findings, and recommendations with supporting evidence throughout the organization.
- Perform ad-hoc queries and create ad-hoc reports to support analysis.
- Work with stakeholders to interpret, research, and resolve data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

Accountability:
You will be directly accountable for accurate construction and evaluation of datasets, graphs and reports. All reports, analyses, and recommendations should be completed in a timely manner and with extreme attention to detail. You will be asked to present your work regularly and provide supporting evidence for your recommendations.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent problem solver, disciplined attention to detail, great communicator.
- Strong ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a cross-functional team to drive results.
- Strong quantitative skills and communication skills – verbal and written.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Exceptional ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries will be required.
- Experience with R, Python, and / or SAS also valuable.
- Experience with Databricks is preferred
