Job Description

This is a Data analyst role within the Finance Organization Worldwide Cost Accounting hub operation based in Penang. You will join a dynamic team and are expected to use both technical and analytical skills to provide financial process support to business partners from various organizations worldwide.

  • Support standard cost-setting operation process.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with finance, production, and IT teams to understand data needs, answer data-related queries, and translate complex data analysis into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate data findings and recommendations through presentations, reports, and visualizations tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Data mining - Extracting valuable insights from large datasets using techniques like clustering, association rule mining, and anomaly detection.
  • Leveraging MS 365 tools - Utilizing Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint for efficient data management and collaboration.
  • Implementing technical tools - Utilizing AI-ML model, MS 365, etc to develop apps for financial models, automated workflow, and data analytics.
  • Work closely with business partners or inventory business owners to achieve operational goals and improve internal controls.
  • Work closely with other internal functional teams to improve process/operational and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree majoring in Computer Science / Business Information System / Data Analytics with programming knowledge.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in an MNC environment will be an added advantage.
  • Preferably has hands-on experience in data analytics/ data mining, process automation and SAP.
  • Knowledge of programming Python, Java, C++, Visual Basic.
  • Good command of the English language - written and oral.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
