What You’ll do

As an ERP Master Data Manager, you will be overseeing all product data within Rural King’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Information Manager (PIM), and eCommerce.  The Master Data Manager will lead and manage all organization-wide data governance activities and will have the responsibility of directly supervising a team of product data specialists.  The Master Data Manager will define the vision, goals, and objectives for providing useful information and ensuring alignment on priorities, implementation, and governance with key stakeholders.

 

  • Build the strategy, develop the roadmap, and manage the backlog and end-user support for the application platforms for data governance, data quality monitoring, and master data management capabilities.
  • Write optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications.
  • Own and drive various mass data cleansing projects. Correct inaccurate data, fill in missing data, merge duplicate data, and build account hierarchy relationships.
  • Actively seek new technologies to streamline and automate manual data management processes; review current technology solutions and makes recommendations based on fit with the organization's strategic vision.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards, and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
  • Coordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline the expenses related to those services.
  • Influence cross-functional business leaders in establishing business objectives and goals.
  • Keep documentation and govern systems that produce reports, company performance emails, and individual tasks that run on servers that take away resources.
  • Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

  • At least 4 years of relevant data governance and master data management experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to assemble, analyze, and evaluate data, including big data.
  • EDI experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail business practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

The pay range for this position is $46,000 - $61,000 annualized and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
