Monitor Data Analyst Intern

The Opportunity:

• Learn access to an established archive of monitor data
• Create a data base of archived monitor data
• Develop optimized signal processing algorithms and version controlled code to detect/extract evidence present in the data.
• Process data to extract evidence and relate found evidence to cause using known and proposed external processes
• Develop physical models that relate evidence to external processes
• Regularly document and review algorithms, code, physical models and processed evidence

The Must Haves:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
• Proficiency in Matlab and Python
• Experience with optical measurements and analysis

The Nice to Haves:

• Proficiency in C++
• Version control (git) experience with optical monitoring applicable to coherent transceivers

Pay Range: The hourly pay range for this position is $24.50 - $43.00

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
