What You'll Do

  • Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs through the data output from production telemetry. Investigation may include macro quality issues spanning multiple months of data or smaller individual issues that show up as anomalous issues in the dashboards. 
  • Be vigilant of unusual trends related to product defects and communicate them to management 
  • Provide guidance on various trending methods / improvements to management 
  • Specifically verify data visualization dashboards for accuracy from a data accuracy perspective 
  • Trace data queries and their results from source (app triggers) to the backend databases 
  • Be able to develop SQL queries. 
  • Review aggregated data from collected from complaint sources as well as telemetry sources and derive insights on potential root causes for hardware and software quality issues.  Be able to transform the data into different demographic axis for review. 
  • Be involved in the data strategy and implementation of additional telemetry events and meta data that will 
    support future investigations into software and hardware quality issues. 
  • Create data dictionaries to support the interpretation of data visualizations and events. 
  • Present quality insights from the data to management and executive teams 

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline   
  • 5+ years’ experience in Software Testing and/or Software Quality Assurance   
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft BI, Looker, etc. 
  • Experience developing data analytics SQL queries 
  • Must be technically strong and have experience testing mobile applications 
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills  

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Medical Device experience preferred  
  • Experience in an agile development environment preferred  
  • Experience with embedded systems and integration testing with external systems preferred 
  • Cyber security, medical mobile applications or cloud computing experience preferred

The base pay for this position is

$111,300.00 – $222,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
