The Adobe Document Cloud AI & Innovation Team is looking for an
experienced Machine Learning Engineer to drive a new and exciting focus
area: using AI and ML to transform customer experiences! In this exciting
role, you will use your AI/ML expertise to deeply understand how customers
use our products and improve their journey.
The Adobe Document Cloud powers the world’s most widely used digital
document experiences, including Adobe Acrobat, which is installed on over
a billion devices and opens billions of PDFs annually. Our ecosystem extends
to Adobe Sign, Document Cloud Platform, and Adobe Scan. With the recent
release of the Acrobat AI Assistant, we are leading the way in incorporating
sophisticated insights into our products to improve user experiences.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-moving team focused on applying
AI/ML to refine, optimize, and enhance the way customers engage with
digital documents. Your work will directly influence product decisions and
shape the future of intelligent document workflows.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a critical role in
applying AI/ML to understand customer interactions, uncover insights, and
drive critical product decisions that enhance our users’ experience across
Adobe’s document ecosystem.
You will:
- Design and lead initiatives aimed at improving customer interactions and engagement with Adobe Document Cloud products.
- Develop AI-powered insights to help product teams make data-driven decisions that enhance usability and retention.
- Build and deploy ML models that analyze user interactions.
- Collaborate closely with multiple teams (Product, Engineering, UX, and Data Science) to find opportunities where AI can enhance customer experience
- Optimize and scale AI/ML solutions across mobile, cloud, and desktop environments. Facilitate technology transfer between Adobe Research and Document Cloud, ensuring that innovative AI advancements translate into real-world impact.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of industry experience in applying AI/ML to real-world products, with a focus on customer experience and engagement.
- Strong understanding of product development and a passion for crafting innovative solutions that have a direct impact on users.
- Expertise in Generative AI, Python, and Python-based ML/DL frameworks
- Excellent coding, data analysis, and problem-solving skills with a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
- Solid foundation in statistical analysis and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with ML Ops and deploying AI models at scale. Familiarity with ML services is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across subject areas and drive critical initiatives.
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).

The U.S. pay range for this position is $142,700 -- $257,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
