In 2012, Lambda started with a crew of AI engineers publishing research at top machine-learning conferences. We began as an AI company built by AI engineers. That hasn't changed. Today, we're on a mission to be the world's top AI computing platform. We equip engineers with the tools to deploy AI that is fast, secure, affordable, and built to scale. Whether they need powerhouse GPU hardware on-site or the flexibility of cloud-based solutions, we've got the horsepower to make it happen. Lambda’s AI Cloud has been adopted by the world’s leading companies and research institutions including Anyscale, Rakuten, The AI Institute, and multiple enterprises with over a trillion dollars of market capitalization. Our goal is to make computation as effortless and ubiquitous as electricity.

If you'd like to build the world's best deep learning cloud, join us.

About the role

We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead Lambda’s MLOps platform – from strategy formation through implementation, launch, and iterative improvement. Your job is to eliminate the friction ML teams face when developing, deploying, and maintaining models. You’ll tackle problems around data pipelines, experiment reproducibility, deployment complexity, monitoring failures, and model drift.

Your success depends on your ability to deeply understand real-world ML workflows, collaborate effectively with engineers and researchers, and translate high degrees of uncertainty and ambiguity into actionable plans.

In this role, you will:

  • Own strategy and roadmap for the MLOps Platform layer of Lambda’s public cloud.

  • Own revenue growth, profitability, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

  • Drive execution across engineering, support, sale, marketing, and leadership.

  • Ensure we’re ahead of the curve on emerging trends, research, competition, and tools.

  • Develop partnerships with key AI ecosystem players to enhance our MLOps capabilities and market reach.

  • Define key performance metrics and success benchmarks to measure, optimize, and demonstrate Lambda’s leadership in operationalizing machine learning at scale.

Your technical qualification:

  • You have 10+ years of product management experience and 5+ years in the trenches with ML model builders.

  • You have personally led a new product, from initial conception to commercial success.

  • You already deeply understand how model builders debug, iterate, experiment, and suffer in the real world.

  • You’re technical enough that the engineers you work with regularly forget you're a PM.

  • You’re already ahead of the curve in AI – keeping up with emerging trends, techniques, tools, and research.

  • You have a strong technical foundation – CS, Engineering, Math degree (or equivalent experience).

You'll thrive if:

  • You ship the right thing fast and own outcomes.

  • You do whatever it takes to get the job done.

  • You find crisp paths forward through uncertainty, ambiguity, constraints, and obstacles.

  • You quickly identify what truly matters and make hard trade-offs without hesitation.

  • Teams leave meetings with you energized, aligned, and fully clear on next steps.

  • You thrive in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.

  • You can mobilize teams from standstill to full-speed execution.

Salary range information

The annual salary range for this role is $300,000 - $385,000, based on market data and experience. A higher or lower salary may be offered depending on qualifications.
