About the Role:
An exciting opportunity to work with our Finance team focussing on a variety of tasks including procurement of broker research and market data for the Portfolio Managers. The role will report into the Finance & Tax Director and is highly visible, working closely with the front office functions at the Firm. The role would suit a highly motivated, analytical, and commercial individual who is curious to understand and add value to the inner workings of a leading hedge fund.
Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle procurement management for broker research and market data, including strengthening partnerships with key vendors.
- Evaluate service and commercial terms to optimise cost efficiencies.
- Conduct bi-annual broker research vote to optimise commissions paid to each broker.
- Conduct comprehensive annual broker review analysis to assess and monitor performance.
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements for all existing processes.
- Ensure service entitlements are completed appropriately for joiners/leavers.
- Make automation and efficiency improvements for all existing processes.
- Participate in and, where appropriate, manage key business initiatives.
Requirements
- Relevant experience, ideally working with e-Trading platforms, exchanges, and market data vendors.
- Excellent multi-tasking, time management, organisation skills, effective prioritisation, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, a naturally curious mindset, and ability to pick-up new concepts and logically solve problems.
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Numeracy and proficiency in MS-Excel.
- Keen interest in data and how it can be used to differentiate counterparties value to a trading organisation.
- Experience with SQL and Tableau are desirable but not essential.
- Displays and operates at the highest degree of ethics and integrity.
