Backend Developer (Python)

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to help build and optimize robust backend systems for our data analytics-focused product. As a backend generalist, you will play a key role in designing scalable solutions, ensuring efficient data processing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality product.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend systems.
• Build and optimize data pipelines for seamless data flow and processing.
• Work with data warehousing solutions to structure and analyze large datasets.
• Collaborate with frontend and data science teams to integrate systems and deliver new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues to ensure smooth system performance.

Key Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python with experience in backend development.
• Solid understanding of data pipelines and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and data engineering tools.
• Experience with GoLang is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with big data tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar.
