Job Description
The Opportunity:
At Flywire, we have ecosystems that helps our teams to deploy their applications quickly and securely, and makes sure we are compliant with Fintechs rigorous regulations (such as PCI, SOC II or HIPAA) all while staying true to cloud native principles and allowing the maximum degree of freedom to developers.
In This Work, You Will:
- Have the opportunity to work across the entire stack ( frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, etc ).
- Contribute to Flywire’s development ecosystem vision.
- Work closely with members of other internal disciplines such as Security, QA, Support, Analytics or Engineering Productivity.
- Support your fellow developers in the use of the ecosystem and advocate for best practices.
- Support the Oncall rotation and continuous improvement around production incidents.
- Maintain and extend Flywire’s internal CI and CD platforms.

Qualifications
Here’s What We’re Looking For:
We are aiming to build a multidisciplinary and balanced team based on "t-shaped" individuals. As such we are looking for people comfortable with the idea of being or becoming a generalizing specialist.
Although we actively use and support many different platforms and languages, our team primarily uses Ruby, and Golang for our tooling. Experience with any of these languages along with testing techniques such as TDD or BDD is needed.
Also knowledge and experience with the container ecosystem, cloud infrastructure, build systems and CI/CD tools will be highly valuable.
Having a continuous improvement mindset and a strong sense of ownership is key for being successful at this role.
Your stakeholders will be your own fellow developers, you will need to have strong communication and collaboration skills, and most importantly, empathy.
Understanding your fellow developers both technically and in a human way will allow you to find the right solutions for the job at hand and build great relationships.
