Job Summary 

Keyrus is looking for a Data Analysis. The ideal candidate embodies technical prowess in AI, coupled with a fervent commitment to making every piece of data matter. This position is Hybrid/on-site in Lisbon/Porto. (if needed)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Agency's Programmes of Work in the areas of Science & Technology and Innovation, focusing on ACT and NDS initiatives.
• Collect and analyse data from diverse sources, such as scientific publications, news articles, social media, and market reports.
• Conduct horizon scanning and trend-scouting activities to identify emerging and disruptive technologies and their potential applications.
• Design and implement data models, repositories, and ETL pipelines for capturing signals from various sources and organizing them into structured datasets.
• Develop and present clear, actionable reports to internal stakeholders.
• Create and manage interactive dashboards to track and display analysis results.
• Apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI techniques to process large volumes of data.
• Work as part of an Agile team, participating in weekly sprints with scoped tasks planned during sprint-planning meetings.

Requirements for the role 

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning) or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a mid-level data analytics role.
• Strong understanding of AI applications in data analysis, especially Natural Language Processing (NLP) and language models.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PowerBI, R, TensorFlow, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with ETL techniques, integrating data from REST APIs and document management systems.
• Proven expertise in technology horizon scanning and identifying key trends and use cases.
• Background in media monitoring, media data analysis, and threat analysis of text, including text classification.
• Strong experience in software or tool development for strategic foresight and horizon scanning.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, particularly for trend scouting and innovation management.
• Fluent in English
• Fluent in Portuguese
• Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
