Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with 5+ years of experience in business intelligence and data visualization.  

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Power BI dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making for a Global client organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.

Data Modeling: Create and manage data models using Power Query, DAX, and SQL to optimize report performance.

Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources (SQL databases, APIs, Excel, cloud platforms, etc.).

Business Insights: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.

Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports and underlying data structures for enhanced efficiency and performance.

Security & Governance: Implement data security, role-based access controls, and best practices in Power BI services.

Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, data analysts, and business teams, to improve reporting solutions.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, performance bottlenecks, and report-related issues.

Documentation: Maintain proper documentation for report designs, data flows, and technical specifications.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Technical Expertise:

5+ years of experience in Power BI development, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.

Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and query optimization.

Experience integrating Power BI with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a plus.

Knowledge of Python/R for data analysis is desirable but not mandatory.

Business Acumen: Understanding of business intelligence, analytics, and data visualization best practices.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.

Preferred Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate

Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals (Optional)
