What will you gain?
At ArcelorMittal (AM), we are looking for someone to join us at the forefront of the steels industry. As part of the Capital Goods Team, you shall be part of a team of experts based in Luxembourg City.
We are seeking an intern for a duration of 3 to 6 months.
For Steel & Mining Projects above US$ 2Million, you shall manage contract deployment to the User Site (Plants) resulting in the purchase of a Product/Service meeting Safety, Quality (technical specifications/performances) and Availability (Project Planning/Budget) requirements with the best Total Cost Ownership (TCO) in line with AM values and policies.
What you’ll do
- Manages Supply Market Intelligence for Capital Good Procurement (Research)
- Purpose : Enable AMCG to be in a better position to manage risks, negotiate with suppliers, ensure Interested Parties are satisfied, find cost savings, and gain a competitive advantage. This activity supports decision-making for Capital Investment Procurement
- Tracks at defined frequency macro-economic trends, commodity pricing, government and regulatory changes (impact)
- Monitors market developments - supplier & industry related developments
- Gathers and organizes data (based on digital solutions) for :
- market trends and price developments through group-wide collection
- supplier orders (key suppliers, location, rating, capacities) and competitors investments announcements
- Documents, maintains AMCG Market Intelligence Management Process
- Data Management to support Benchmark for Capital Investment Projects
- Purpose : Support Project Buyers for benchmarking and Project Budget Costing in Capital Investment Projects
- Gathers and organizes data collected from contracts, investment approval file or any other information source
- Supports potential AI further developments in cooperation with IT
- Purpose : Enable AMCG to be in a better position to manage risks, negotiate with suppliers, ensure Interested Parties are satisfied, find cost savings, and gain a competitive advantage. This activity supports decision-making for Capital Investment Procurement
- Supports AMCG KPI reporting and activity digitalization
- Purpose : Support data integrity & availability for performance management and activity digitalization for the best AMCG Processes/Team efficiency
- Supports KPIs tracking and reporting in cooperation with AMCG Buyers
- Supports in structuring data (Projects, EoN, contracts, benchmark, vendors...) and digitalization for AMCG Processes in cooperation with IT
- Supports yearly Business Plan (strategies) development in cooperation with Process Quality and AMCG Buyers by preparing analysis and synthesis of Market Intelligence, Benchmark and Vendor Profile data
- Purpose : Support data integrity & availability for performance management and activity digitalization for the best AMCG Processes/Team efficiency
