Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PowerBI, be proficient in writing and maintaining SQL queries, and possess a strong ability to design and implement visualizations that make complex data understandable and actionable. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for working closely with business stakeholders to identify their data needs and offer innovative solutions to present data in a meaningful way. You will leverage your technical expertise and communication skills to translate business requirements into effective and engaging data visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards that present data in a user-friendly and actionable format.
2. Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases for use in reports.
3. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and understand their data needs.
4. Provide recommendations on how to effectively visualize and present complex datasets to meet business goals.
5. Perform data analysis to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reports and dashboards.
6. Create automated solutions to refresh data and streamline reporting processes.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, report performance issues, and ensure the data is up-to-date.
8. Conduct training sessions for end-users, helping them understand how to use reporting tools effectively and make the most of the reports and dashboards.
9. Assist in the maintenance of the PowerBI environment and ensure proper security and access controls are in place.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Reporting Experience: Proficient in creating, managing, and optimizing reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong experience with writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data.
- Data Visualization: Excellent ability to create insightful, clear, and effective visualizations to represent complex datasets, including knowledge of best practices in data visualization.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on improving data quality, accuracy, and usability.
- Independent Work: Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Collaboration and Communication: Outstanding communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and end-users to understand their needs and translate them into actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reports and dashboards.
- Business Intelligence: Strong understanding of business processes and objectives to design data solutions that align with organizational goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft PowerBI strongly encouraged.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
