Position OverviewAs a Data Scientist for a tech startup, you will play a critical role in shaping an AI-powered tool designed to enhance decision-making, amplify leadership impact, and drive rapid organizational growth. By applying your technical skills, analytical mindset, and product intuition to data that encompasses all aspects of innumerable organizations' operations, you will help define this revolutionary new tool. You will collaborate on a wide array of product and business problems with a wide-range of cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Research, Marketing, Sales, Finance and others. You will use data and analysis to identify and solve product development's biggest challenges and to optimize usability and engagement. You will influence product strategy and investment decisions with data, be focused on impact, and collaborate with other teams.

Responsibilities

• Usability and Engagement: You will analyze user behavior to optimize product usability, maximizing user engagement with the platform to help it aggregate knowledge about organizational structure and operations quickly and accurately.
• Product Leadership: You will leverage data to guide product development, identify opportunities and challenges, and ensure our product delivers value to people, businesses, and company growth. You will partner with teams to prioritize initiatives, establish goals, and develop a deep understanding of their product ecosystem.
• Analytics: You will guide teams using data and insights. You will develop hypotheses and use a diverse range of analytical approaches, methodologies, and technical frameworks to test them.
• Communication and Influence: You will transform data into compelling narratives. You will persuade and guide teams through clear insights and recommendations, building credibility and trust as a strategic partner through structured, clear communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of work experience in analytics, data querying languages such as SQL and Cypher and software development using Python, (minimum of 2 years with a Ph.D.).
• 4+ years of experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches, understanding ecosystems, user behaviors & long-term product trends, and leading data-driven projects from definition to execution (including defining metrics, experiment, design, communicating actionable insights).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. Degree in a quantitative field.
• Hand-on experience developing and maintaining AWS-based data pipelines.
