Position Summary
Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in Boston, Massachusetts and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.
Work You’ll Do
Manage information technology projects for advisory and implementation services of large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments. Manage the full data delivery lifecycle for implementations, including defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines. Ensure that the design is transformed into code components as per design patterns and architectural principles by performing code reviews and unit test walkthroughs. Manage the implementation of data enrichment, lookup, filtering and data cleansing routines and solutions to improve data quality of the ingested data. Perform performance tuning of the components to meet the performance requirements. Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers, participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process, and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Perform role of counselor and coach; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for teams and staff in local offices.

Requirements
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience. Position requires 3 years of related work experience in each of the following:
- Participating in teams that perform developing, testing, and automating Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) procedures using Dataswarm to perform data warehousing and data integration functions, and utilizing Presto and SQL to generate insights leveraging on-premise, web, and cloud-based platforms;
- Leading teams that work to provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools including Python Notebooks and Tableau to produce analysis and algorithms;
- Formulating and creating functional and non-functional specification documentation for product development and roadmaps, business process reengineering, business modeling, analytical and business rules definition, data architecture, and user interface and experience by utilizing Google Docs, Google Sheets, Lucidchart, Git, and Agile methodology;
- Improving data discovery, sourcing, modeling, and analytics by defining process mapping, decision mapping, and data governance to support the creation of data flows and models using data lineage tracking systems and Presto;
- Building reports and data models in Unidash and Python Analytical notebooks based on performance measurement metrics, allowing for business and technical users to provide insights into the organization’s data;
- Collaborating with teams that deliver Data Warehousing and Analytics solutions, utilizing Apache Hive, Spark, and SQL;
- Overseeing database administration tasks using MySQL and Presto SQL for development and test databases including planning, developing, testing, and documenting backup and recovery procedures, database version upgrades, and export and import procedures for data dumps; and
- Architecting, developing, testing, and documenting Data Integration and Migration ETL solutions and frameworks built on platforms utilizing Dataswarm.
