What is the role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager focusing on Server API within the API products team at Bloomberg. This team leads product strategy and development for three turnkey products: Bloomberg’s Desktop API, Server API, and Desktop Data Solutions. The Server API product enables Bloomberg Terminal users to leverage Bloomberg API on a client-server architecture for a group of users on desktop, cloud, or mobile, delivering a rich set of data and analytics spanning all asset classes. 
As a Product Manager for Server API, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative, scalable solutions that address customer pain points and drive revenue. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, clients developing proprietary applications, and Third-Party vendors to ensure our solutions seamlessly integrate with their offerings. 
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with the latest technology, market-leading industry products, cross-Bloomberg content, and delivery platforms including web-based, mobile-based, and cloud. 
We will trust you to: 

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on customer and business impact. 
• Perform market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities. 
• Manage the product roadmap, specifications, prioritization, and backlog through an agile process. 
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch. 
• Leverage data and user feedback to inform product priorities and write clear user stories and requirements. 
• Acquire deep knowledge of customer investing processes, data, and technology stacks. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and scope product requirements. 
• Develop product marketing strategies with the marketing team. 
• Build strong relationships with clients to understand their challenges and evolve our offering. 
• Monitor key product metrics to derive customer intelligence and improve product retention. 
• Represent Bloomberg globally to customers, prospects, and vendor partners. 

We’d love to see: 

• Confidence in communicating how our data and technology solutions will help achieve client business goals. 
• Deep understanding or experience with server-side architecture or cloud 
• Broad, in-depth understanding of the asset class spectrum with a focus on exchange and contributed data. 
• Basic proficiency in Python or similar programming languages typically used in data science. 
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS and Azure preferred) 
• Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, or economics. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
