Data Analyst/ Trainer

Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $96,600.00/Yr. - USD $160,850.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Description

• Strategizes and identifies unique opportunities to locate and collect new data, explores and mines data from many angles, and determines what it means.  
• Execute analytical experiments methodically to help understand geodata using commercial hardware.
• Communicates data findings to decision makers to influence how an organization approaches and meets business challenges of an evolving customer base. (I modified this sentence)
• Develops customized algorithms to solve analytical problems with incomplete geodata sets and implements automated processes for efficiently producing scale models.
• Produce map visualization of geodata to explore trends and anomalies.  
• Interacts directly with customer providing technical training which helps to identify customer’s problems.
• Willing to travel up to 50% to OCONUS sites

Requirements

• This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, software engineering, statistics, data science or a related technical field and 5 + (five plus) years’ experience in predictive analytics, statistical analysis, machine learning, programming or data analytics; or a Master’s degree in stats, applied math, or a related discipline and 3+ (three plus) years or related experience.
• Experience working with large data sets.
• The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are analytical skills. Other important skills include strong mathematics skills (e.g., statistics, algebra), exceptional technical writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Desired Skills

• Ability to present to a camera for curriculum-related projects
• Prior military and or DoD experience desired
• Understanding of Naval or Ground Operations
• Knowledge of IPOE/IPB
• Knowledge of Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and UN Convention of Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) 

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
