The Deutsche Bank Chief Strategy Office (CSO) drives Deutsche Bank’s innovation strategy, thought leadership, technology partnerships, and investments. The team enables the bank to accelerate and drive business led innovation, and to deliver revenue growth and operational efficiencies for all bank divisions and Deutsche Bank ecosystem of partners.

Much of the Innovation Engineering team is based in Dublin and constitutes Deutsche Bank's AI centre of excellence. Key objectives of the team include the delivery development and delivery of production quality AI products, creation of an AI ecosystem to support the trustworthy development of AI solutions, and training & education of AI practitioners and business users.

This role is critical to ensure the successful delivery of data science and AI solutions, encompassing innovation strategy, full product development lifecycle, and software development best practice.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, in both business and technology, to drive the delivery of a prioritized innovation portfolio. You must be able to develop and influence strategic priorities for the Engineering team. You will support and consult at senior level across the bank and mobilise, guide, and direct a team of engineers to deliver complex business and technical solutions.

Your key responsibilities

• Designing and implementing solutions using advanced analytics, machine learning / AI and cloud technologies that fulfil Deutsche Bank's innovation strategy
• Delivering high quality solutions through innovative design centred on the consumer that are aligned with strong AI & ML development practices 
• Providing technical leadership within the team
• Engaging with cross divisional teams on the design of trustworthy AI solutions and the creation of re-usable components that will enable trustworthy AI implementation at an organisational level
• Working collaboratively with product managers, developers, and end-users to deliver working solutions and analytics in an Agile and Iterative manner
• Contributing to effective and efficient technical research and experiments

Your skills and experience

• A mastery Trustworthy AI Design Principles, with experience of Responsible AI a plus
• A knowledge of emerging AI regulation, application to delivery or AI solutions
• A knowledge of machine learning, with experience working with python a plus
• Experience of working in the public cloud, such as Azure, AWS or GCP, with GCP being a plus
• A solid understanding of consumer facing AI product development
• A willingness to learn and undertake projects in novel technologies
