This is a hybrid role based in Eagan, MN.

What You Will Do:
- Support the development of complex computer vision systems by experimentally validating algorithms and creating automated testing capabilities.
- Support prototyping and evaluation of proof-of-concept stage computer vision systems with the operation of an advanced sensing lab, providing evaluation and development support.
- Select appropriate sensors and computing hardware for the expansion of a laboratory space based on targeted projects and capabilities.
- Assist in the implementation of computer vision algorithms using libraries such as OpenCV and frameworks for CNNs (Convolutional Neural Networks) for object detection, tracking, and image classification
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate vision systems with hardware and software platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years work experience; or no degree and 9 years combined education and equivalent work experience
- 3 years of experience (work or educational) with a focus on computer vision or machine learning Vision AI
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Strong knowledge of core computer vision algorithms and libraries like OpenCV
- Strong knowledge of convolutional neural networks for computer vision tasks
- Immigration sponsorship not available for this role
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MS) in Computer Science or related engineering field.
- Experience developing with hardware for systems utilizing cameras or similar sensors, such as robotics, multi-camera systems, or embedded sensing.
- Experience with experimental validation or automated testing practices.
- Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning and Azure Vision AI
- Experience with advanced object detection frameworks like YOLO and Roboflow
- Experience using PyTorch, AutoML and similar model training frameworks
- Interest in collaborating with partners outside of core team / organization
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $98,600.00 - $148,000.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.Benefits
