Overview

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer for the dbSleuth Team within Regulatory & Cross Product Information Technology (IT) delivering Trader and Counterparty surveillance across all business sections of Deutsche Bank. We are an engineering focused organization, striving for the highest quality architecture, design, and code across our teams. You will help to build our surveillance systems, working in a fast-paced, agile environment. Our workload for new deliveries is high, using, Python/Spark/Scala for services, Hadoop Big Data and data science for anomaly detection using machine learning and statistical risk models.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and production support for one or more components of the system

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver required projects from initiation through to final implementation (Ability to elicit requirements from stakeholders is a must)

  • Work independently and/or as a member of a regionally dispersed cross-functional team working on medium to large sized initiatives

  • Adhere to established methodologies and standards as part of your responsibilities

  • Apply project management and systems development lifecycle processes for complex information technology projects

Skills You’ll Need

  • Moderate technical experience with extensive core Java or Scala experience

  • Experience in Big Data technologies such as Spark, Impala and Hive and utilizing a good understanding of Hadoop functioning & infrastructure

  • Experience with Rule Engine ((e.g., IBM Deutschland GmbH, Frankfurt am Main (IBM) ODM, Drools), Hibernate, Spring and Java Message Service (JMS)

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum process

  • Good understanding of Data Structures, Design Patterns & Frameworks

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Exposure to Google Cloud Platform would be a plus

  • Exposure to Python would be a plus

  • Test Driven Development experience with experience in writing behavior driven development or design (BDD) test

  • Experience in testing database solutions

  • Experience in Structured Query Language (SQL)

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
