Fabric/Power BI (PBI) Administrator

The Fabric/Power BI (PBI) Admin will be an integrated member of Labcorp Data & Analytics team and will support IT and business teas Fabric workspaces by configuring, monitoring and provisioning resources which align to the organizational needs.  This role requires a high level of self-direction and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, data products. The Fabric Admin will collaborate with the other members of the Data & Analytics team to define our company’s Fabric workspace architecture and CI/CD to support our next generation of data products and initiatives. This position will be part of the Information Technology team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for providing Fabric and Power BI service administration - user management, workspace management, gateway administration, data sources.
• Manage fabric capacity, assign workspace to the capactiy and performance management.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineers and PBI developers by using github/devops integration.
• Grow and integrate Fabric and Power BI Service by designing and deploying workspaces, data models, app tiers, gateways, key vaults, managed identities, report services, and dashboard support.
• Configure and manage Fabric and Purview integration for data catalog.
• Perform security audits.
• Maintain SOPs and update existing documentation where available, author new documentation as required.
• Act as escalated support resource for help desk and end users as required.
• Design, develop, and implement Power BI reports and dashboards as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field of study, or 5+ years of experience in PBI admin.
• Current or previous Labcorp experience preferred.
• Experience developing Power BI reports and dataflows.
• Must have an experience in RBAC and security groups by using AD/Enter Groups.
• Must have at least 3+ year of experience in Fabric / Azure PBI service administration
• Must have problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage tasks and work independently in a professional, deadline-based environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively participate in team-based client delivery projects.
• Willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Knowledge of Agile/DevOps processes a plus.
• Knowledge of Azure PBI Admin tools (Data Factory, Synapse) a plus.
