Join us as Data Management Lead, Customer & Reference Data

  • You’ll be leading data management activity delivering improved customer and reference data quality for the bank

What you'll do 

Arago 2.0 is structured across a number of key capabilities and workstreams to mitigate data risk,  such as Data Management Maturity which will establish maturity across our data quality issue management strategy, Integrated Data Management Platform that will develop a single platform that enables improved and secure data access, Data Control by Design will deliver an uplift in data architecture and data management standards integrated into a single pane of glass view of our control environment and BCBS239 will deliver an uplifted BCBS239 framework with clear next best actions to improve compliance. 

In this role, you’ll be accountable for the management and supervision across the department, including the ownership and development of the customer and reference data quality risk and control mechanisms for the bank, independently overseeing and challenging the effective management of risks and controls within agreed risk appetites. 

Key elements of the role include: 

  • Development, measurement and reporting ensuring compliance to customer and reference data standards for the bank  
  • Providing a bank wide view of data quality risk across customer and reference data 
  • Coordinating with EWRMF controls, audit and other relevant teams to identify and understand how we can improve customer and reference data risk management 
  • Developing and maintaining systems and processes supporting data quality issue management across customer and reference data optimising for data quality remediation where possible 
  • Raising and driving issues related to deadlines, data quality and strategic system limitations efficiently and independently 
  • Partnership with technology and data to develop a data product roadmap to support customer and reference data outcomes 
  • Providing expert support, advice, management information and escalation to leaders and the business on data management risk working with our technology and data partners 

The skills you'll need 

To thrive in this role, you’ll have a deep understanding of customer and reference data. You’ll need excellent communication skills, for liaising with stakeholders, as well as a strong understanding of Treasury and customer and financial data. 

On top of this, you’ll bring: 

  • Knowledge of key business outcomes dependent on customer and reference data 
  • An understanding and track record of developing standards and improving data quality 
  • The ability to undertake small data projects and get involved in regular UAT and sign off processes 
  • Working knowledge of cloud data practices and data architecture 
  • Highly developed creative skills to resolve complex problems and design solutions to support the bank wide simplification program for customer and reference data
