Role Description: 

As a Machine Learning Engineer / ML Ops Engineer at LSEG, you will work with AI-based solutions, collaborating with various stakeholders within the organization and sometimes outside the organization as well. This role requires flexibility, as out-of-office hours support, overnight work, weekend work, and working on bank holidays will be necessary to ensure the smooth operation of our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain machine learning models, algorithms, infrastructure and pipelines to solve business problems.
• Work with multi-functional teams to understand and scope requirements and implement innovative solutions.
• Own the development of Proof of Concepts, MVP to test the validity of approaches for various use cases.
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate ML models into applications.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, performance of ML systems and implement standard methodologies for version control, CI/CD, and model governance.
• Monitor and analyze production ML systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ML Ops and related technologies.
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify patterns and trends.

Education:

• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Required skills and experience:

• Proven experience as a Data Ops Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Basic knowledge of Generative AI models and their programmatic application to real-world scenarios.
• Familiarity with Hugging Face and Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and partnership abilities.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience with databases such as Snowflake and Oracle.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
• Publications or contributions to open-source projects in the field of ML Ops.
