Python Application Developer

We are looking for python application developer for Market Data Analytics Application handling and leading large scale of data both structured and unstructured. This application involves real-time high frequency and time series data including static referenced and fundamental data.

Our group covers analytics of various asset classes such as equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities. We handle some part of fundamental database of these asset classes. Our responsibility is to develop and maintain the application processing these data with ranges of simple mathematics, statistic model, theoretical and up to predefined asset pricing model through Web-Service API and other Refinitiv proprietary API on cloud system. We also research and apply various of machine learning technique on these data.

Responsibility

• Analyze market data content (mainly derivative instruments) both structure and unstructured format
• Lead requirement discussion aspect with relevant parties mainly located in France, UK, US and India
• Implement python script to manipulate data structure/format and price the financial instrument using both self-created library embedded and/or pre-defined library or Refinitiv quantitative pricing service API
• Produce minimum level of requirement document
• Provide 3rd level support of application and relevant systems, flexible and comfortable with European shift time

Required skills and experience

• At least 3 years’ experience as a software engineer or comparable field
• Good knowledge in Python programming language and application design
• Knowledge in database programming
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Strong interest in financial market, trading securities and investment
• Positive and open attitude, eager to learn new technologies

Preferred skills and experience (not required but with advantage)

• Advance knowledge in statistic and intermediate level in calculus (e.g. partial differential equation)
• Understand concept of financial market and financial instrument especially derivatives
• Knowledge in derivative instrument pricing theory
• Experience with stock exchange and/or financial institutional
