The Data Science team is looking for a Software Engineer to act as a bridge between the Data Science and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in .NET development and an interest in mathematical and probability concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices that will be part of a bigger application stack. 
• Maintain and refactor the Data Science model repository for runtime efficiency and technical scalability. For example, establish (a) robust data contracts, (b) error handling and logging, (c) load/stress testing, (d) unit testing etc.
• Assist the Data Science team with the release process.
• Establish coding best-practices for the Data Science team to follow.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering teams on model integration and NFR implementation.
• Report to the Director of Data Science on workflow and share findings with the Data Science team.

Essential Qualifications

• A postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or other quantitative field.
• Experience in .NET development.
• Experience with CRUD actions on various data sources (SQL, NO-SQL, streaming or data-lake).
• Be knowledgeable on RESTful APIs and Kafka topics to consume and produce data from .NET microservices.
• Experience with version control platforms (e.g. GitHub, Gitlab, Bitbucket etc.).

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of multithreading and asynchronous programming.
• Understanding of some modelling techniques (e.g. Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Time-Series Analysis etc.)
• Experience in Python development.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• An understanding of betting concepts and markets will be considered a plus.
