Forming Process Engineer (RDSS)

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Recommend process improvements for cost, yield, or asset life extension.
• Documentation of improvements and process understanding.
• Assist with transfer of technology across the business, Taiwan and overseas (China and Korea)
• Wok with Control Team to develop algorithms for process data analysis and train models
• Support and lead plant engineering organizations in problem solving
• Support and lead emergencies, protect the asset & recover process from major upsets/issues
• Focus on building knowledge of the existing process and capabilities.
• Engage in early-stage developments from Technology delivery group.
• Application of analytical results to improve processes capability.
• Interface between Technology delivery/ design group and Plant engineering for trials of new materials, process and technologies into manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing capital expansions, startups and equipment repair worldwide as required.

Education & Experience:

• MS/PhD degree - major in Mechanical, Aerospace, Material Science, Chemical & Ceramic, Data science
• Ever worked on side projects of data science or modeling is a plus

Required Skills:

• Data analysis experience – Statistical knowledge, data science tool kit is a plus.
• Experiment design and execution.
• Basic knowledge of thermal process, Science principle
• Use of scientific method & approach for problem solving
• Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Mandarin and English
• Microsoft Excel, Python or Big Data application.
