ABOUT THE ROLE

 

The Consumer Insights Analyst will work within the Silversea Cruises Product and Consumer Insights Team to oversee and produce the analysis and reporting of consumer and market research projects.

You will provide actionable insights using applied market research techniques, as well as in-depth knowledge of the business and consumer/market data, to drive business decisions, track performance, and drive strategy and innovation.

You will partner closely with multi-functional business partners including Marketing, Sales, Revenue, Operations, Strategy, Innovation, HR, and others. Research projects generally focus on competitive and consumer insights and trends for use in developing marketing strategies and product enhancements/ offerings, brand equity, advertising effectiveness, and guest and trade satisfaction.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret customer data to support business strategies, uncover insights, and identify trends.

• Work closely with IT and Enterprise BI teams to ensure data quality and stability, and implementation of new reporting tools and improvements.

• Work collaboratively with the Consumer Insights Manager, business partners and leadership to write and program surveys, as well as provide and communicate data analytics, reporting and actionable insights.

• Measure and track brand health to help manage business performance, distilling data into critical and actionable insights.

• Assist with ad hoc requests to support a variety of business needs. Understand the business challenge, communicate clear objectives, design and program surveys when needed, monitor response levels, analyze, and report results.

• Track consumer sentiment and conduct research to provide actionable insights that improve decision-making and strengthen the brands strategy and position.

• Monitor industry trends and competitor analysis to understand the evolving consumer landscape and inform marketing strategies.

• Support the creation of consumer personas and customer journey maps to enhance customer understanding.

• Interfaces effectively with all levels within and outside of the organization in a manner that is collaborative and respectful.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in market research, marketing, statistics, or related field.

• 3+ years of relevant experience in consumer insights, market research, consulting, or similar role.

• Experience managing all phases of research projects – planning, design, execution, analysis, reporting.

• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.

• Results oriented, ability to work independently and demonstrated analytical skills.

• Knowledge of survey design methodologies and qualitative best practices. Qualtrics use is a plus.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

• Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI.

• Knowledge of data analytics tools like SQL, SAS, Python and Databricks is a plus.

• Analytical mindset with ability to perform in-depth data analysis and visually represent data in a compelling and easy-to-digest format.

• Team player, with experience working collaboratively with various internal stakeholders and external partners (i.e., agencies, suppliers)

• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
