The Office of Student Employment provides a variety of on-campus and off-campus paid employment opportunities for New York Institute of Technology students. These opportunities foster and promote career, personal, and professional development, and aid in the ability to enhance the necessary skills needed for success after graduation. Students have the ability to apply learned skills and theories in a practical setting while earning income to assist with college expenses.
The Office of Student Employment strives to:

Responsibilities
New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) is seeking a temporary Student Employment Data Analyst to support the Office of Student Employment. This temporary role will focus on paperwork collection, event planning and facilitation, data management, and training. The position is based at the New York City campus, with some flexibility to work at the Long Island campus as needed.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Student Employment Data Systems Analyst to support the critical transition and testing of student employment data within a new Workday system implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a student employment office or familiarity with student employment processes (e.g., onboarding, payroll, timekeeping) a plus.
- Understanding of HR systems and student workforce structures in higher education.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Flexible and able to adapt to a changing environment.
- Willingness to travel between NYC and Long Island campuses if needed.
The position is ideal for a current data science major or recent graduate with strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
Schedule: 25 hours per week, 3–4 days per week
This is an in-person role at the New York City campus.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
