About the Team

We are currently looking for skilled people who want to have an impact with their work, to join our ZF Aftermarket Product Engineering team in our existing office in Plzen. The team is working to deliver innovations to our existing ZF Bus Connect product and is focused on bringing new applications from concept to production through a deeply collaborative effort between engineering, UX, product and data members. The team will leverage the company’s existing knowledge and access to data of multiple thousands of buses to increase efficiency and convenience in managing the uptime of such vehicles, by connecting bus fleet operators with workshop organizations and enable remote and predictive maintenance use-cases. This is a unique opportunity to have an early and significant impact on shaping both, the new engineering organization and product while having the security of being part of one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers. 

What you can look forward to as Data Developer (m/f/d):

• Build and maintain data systems and pipelines for ZF Bus Connect
• Conduct complex data analysis and report on results, interpret trends and patterns, build data-related algorithms and prototypes
• Design and optimize infrastructure for efficiency and scalability, improve data quality, implement/automise data-quality control
• Follow agile development methodologies & lean principles to contribute to our high-quality product development practice and its constant improvement

Your Profile as Data Developer (m/f/d):

• Computer Science degree or equivalent, min. 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Technical expertise with data models, databases, data mining, and segmentation techniques, focus on time series analysis, featurization, statistics 
• Knowledge of programming languages (for example Python, C# or more)
• Experience with database optimization – partitioning, indexing, query plans
• Experience with API technologies as well as with Microsoft Azure is a plus
• Strong analytical skills, ability to combine data from different sources
• Passion for insightful digital services and for good code 
• Fluent communication skills in English.
