The Opportunity:
CACI’s AI Research & Technology Integration team is looking for a curious and motivated high school student to intern with our AI/ML Scientists and Computer Scientists. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software development while working on real-world projects. No prior AI/ML experience is required—just a passion for technology and a willingness to learn!

This role will be based at our Denver, Colorado office. The position offers a hybrid work model, with the following structure:

• On-site: 80% of work time • Remote: 20% of work time

Responsibilities:

• Assist in organizing and analyzing data for AI/ML projects.
• Learn and apply basic programming skills in Python.
• Support coding, testing, and debugging tasks.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers on innovative projects.
• Participate in team meetings and share ideas.

Qualifications:

Required: 

• Currently enrolled in high school
• Interest in AI, machine learning, coding, or technology.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python preferred but not required).
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired:

• Experience with coding (Python and React).
• Familiarity with AI concepts through school projects or online courses.
• Strong communication and analytical thinking skills.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$35,776 - 66,000 USD
