The Programme attracts talented students or recent graduates to the Organization and provides them with:
- A better understanding of the Organization’s goals and objectives and how international police cooperation is organized
- An insight into how an international organization operates
- A framework to enhance their educational experience through practical work assignments, thereby developing skills which are useful for their career and future employment
- Experience of working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary and multi-ethnic environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance

As of 1 January 2025, the internship allowance is EUR 700 and a transport subsidy of EUR 30 per month. An additional housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month will be provided to eligible interns.
Interns are required to be subscribed to a health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the internship. However, they are eligible to request enrolment in the Organization’s health insurance coverage at no additional cost.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Within Information Systems and Technology Directorate, the Operations (OPE) Sub-Directorate is responsible for the operational support of the IS infrastructure, applications as well as the processing, storage, and management of the data of the organization.
Throughout this internship, the selected applicant will be able to develop his/her personal technical knowledge and operations data handling skills.
Working under the supervision of the DATA Team, in collaboration with the different OPE teams the AI Ops Intern will:
- Assess and implement Generative AI/ML techniques to improve infrastructure and application monitoring, focusing on enhancing efficiency and automating routine tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that address the following key areas:
- Implement data extraction pipelines to fetch and analyze information.
- Infrastructure monitoring and performance optimization
- Application performance monitoring and troubleshooting
- Automated incident detection
- Predictive maintenance and resource optimization
Focus Area:
- Anomaly detection and predictive analytics for infrastructure and application monitoring
- Development of custom dashboards and visualizations for infrastructure and application monitoring
- Exploration of emerging AIOps technologies and techniques, such as LLMs for IT support and automated root cause analysis.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
- Be a national of one of INTERPOL’s 196 member countries.
- Have attained the legal age in the country of nationality.
Training / Education required
- Be enrolled in a, or have graduated from, a master’s degree programme or PhD in an accredited academic institution within the past one year on the date of submission of their application, in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related fields with specialization in machine learning and deep learning.
- Practical machine learning experience
Languages
- Professional fluency in English is required.
- A good command of any other INTERPOL official language (Arabic, French or Spanish) would be an asset.
Technical skills
- Understanding of machine learning, deep learning or data mining concepts
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Knowledge of visualization tools
- Knowledge of data lake, ETL and statistics
- Ability to create, test and validate models
- Ability to create api end points to serve the models
Abilities required

- Ability to work in an international environment
