Program Overview: KBR’s Cloud and Analytics Program is at the forefront of solving complex technical challenges across industries such as space, energy, intelligence, and government solutions. Our team’s expertise spans modeling and simulation, natural language processing, and AI-driven analytics, and we partner with leading commercial companies like AWS and Microsoft Azure to ensure the latest technologies are available to our clients, including the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and other federal agencies.

Position Summary: We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our growing Cloud and Analytics Program. In this role, you will help develop, maintain, and optimize applications and solutions for a variety of federal agencies, including the U.S. Marine Corps' Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM+) program. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and system architects to solve complex technical challenges, utilizing cutting-edge technologies in cloud, AI, machine learning, and analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications for cloud-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions for clients.
  • Implement features across the full software development lifecycle, including back-end, front-end, and database development.
  • Work with cloud platforms like AWS and Microsoft Azure to deploy and manage applications in production environments.
  • Support the integration of AI and machine learning models into software applications.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and technical challenges.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet their needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Citizenship & Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance or eligible to obtain security clearance

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.  

Experience: 5-7 Years of direct software engineering experience   

Technical Skills/Software Expertise:

  • Experience writing production Python code
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Familiarity with Azure services
  • Knowledge using Git for version control
  • Core understanding of the Linux command line
  • Experience using Docker for containerization
  • Experience using Kubernetes for container orchestration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in at least one lower-level language (Golang, C++)
  • Experience with vehicle CAN data
  • Experience with message brokers (RabitMQ, Kafka)
  • Experience with the following Azure Services specifically (Azure K8, Azure SQL, Azure Managed Data Disks, Azure Key Vault)
  • Experience developing code that leverages multithreading and multiprocessing.
  • Familiarity with DevOps code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible)XXXX
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)

Location and Travel Requirements: Remote with occasional travel to client sites

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.

Compensation: $116,000-174,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
