You will work as a data scientist in our ING Global Strategy & People Analytics team where we build and deploy analytics products, data science models & dashboards to support all decisions about ING employees making ING a great place to work for.

You will work in a squad on the front-line closely with business translators and data engineers to agree on the best way to support our stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of advanced analytics products embedded in ING’s HR processes.

We are looking for you, if you:

  • have a good knowledge about machine learning and data science models

  • have hands-on in SQL & Python

  • have experience with git & (big plus) with CI/CD tools in Azure DevOps

  • have experience in explaining your complex analysis to stakeholders

  • support the squad’s product owners with refining & planning business questions

  • have willingness to learn, both on technical and interpersonal levels

  • (big plus) have experience with Power BI

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze and interpret business hypothesis and explore datasets through using available tools, you can manage stakeholders with their business challenges end-to-end, from problem, creating hypotheses, to building a small POC to show viability & feasibility

  • Build or improve data-driven analytical products using data science techniques

  • Recommend ideas to business when data and results are available through good visualizations or algorithms, you always think one step ahead, for example the best way of implementation

  • Assist users to understand the data science principles and when needed provide an explanation for the model behavior and possible correcting actions

  • Contribute to the data science chapter through knowledge sharing, improving our technical WoW, adopting new algorithms or technologies, presenting your work to the analytics community, and supporting team members with your expertise
